Abundant life through educational excellence and discipleship in the ways of Jesus!

Education Excellence

Most schools in the community lack proper training and resources to provide sufficient education. It is our goal to assess the school needs in the community and then send teams that can train the teachers and provide necessary resources. We want to build long-term relationships and partnerships with these schools. We plan to create a training program that is sustainable and reproducible so that Kenyan teachers can take what they have learned and reproduce it throughout the community.

Discipleship

Ultimately, we want every individual in the community to experience the fullness of life that is found in Jesus. We genuinely long for the people to have life, and life abundantly.  We aim to model an Acts community where we are living life together, building relationships, and adding to our number daily. We aim for the families and children to be in love with Jesus and for that love to transfer into becoming disciples that make disciples. We aim to have individuals become rooted in the Word. Our vision is to develop this discipleship method through our sponsorship program.

Empowerment

We strive to help the individual children, families, and community members recognize their God-given gifts, empowering each individual to operate in them. We will love people in the community, and through our relationships we will help identify their talents and assets.  After recognizing these God-given gifts we will assist in putting these gifts into practice within their community. Our vision is that the community would become self-sustaining as its members recognize and capitalize on their individual gifts, working together to create a healthy environment.

Indigenous Partnerships

We are immersing ourselves into their culture, with open hearts and minds to learn from each other. We seek to find partnerships within the community to help obtain all of our goals. We want to have a local community member be a part of everything we establish, with the aim of them reproducing it throughout the community. It is also our goal to identify leaders in the community and create partnerships with them.

Dedicated to change.

In the summer of 2019, I walked toward a dusty field in the heart of the slums, a single soccer ball in hand. I had been serving at a partner school, and after finishing math class, it was finally time for a break to play. Surrounding me were eager students in their school uniforms, their energy building as we approached the field for a game of futbol. As soon as we arrived, the students burst forward, running, laughing, and chasing the ball with joy. Their laughter echoed through the slums, and what happened next is a moment I will never forget. From every corner, a new crowd emerged. Dozens of children, not in school uniforms, began pouring onto the field. The numbers kept growing, and with each new face, I felt a flood of questions. Why weren’t these children in school? What filled their days? What was their future without education?

Amid the noise and questions swirling in my mind, God’s voice cut through with clarity: “I want you to do something about this.”

A few years later, God paved the way for us to purchase land in the slums, making the vision He placed in our hearts a reality: to build a school that would offer not just high-quality education, but life-changing discipleship to children who otherwise had no access. Today, we are filled with excitement as we watch this vision unfold, partnering with God to empower these children to become everything He created them to be.
